So many people today are struggling with their own faith, mostly at no fault of their own, but through fellow so- called Christians, fellow saved believers, religion and traditional teachings, and demonic entities.
People are doubting their salvation, and while some people actually should doubt if they are saved or not, If you BELIEVE in the blood sacrifice gift of Jesus Christ, you should no longer doubt in your salvation…..hopefully this information will help you make the choice.
I will be going thru examples of so-called salvation that people believe in, put faith and trust in…..it is up to every one of us to choose which category we want to put our belief, faith, and trust in…..I just hope for your eternal soul, that you choose the right one…..For only one way is the right way.
It is very important to realize where and to whom or what you are placing your faith…….for it can mean life or death.
Definition of Faith
“Complete trust or confidence in someone or something: strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof”
One of the most important things to understand is that you cannot have any faith if you don’t have belief, you can’t have belief if you don’t have trust; and you can’t have belief and trust without faith. They all go hand in hand.
Definition of Belief
“an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists; Trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something.”
Definition of Trust
“firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. One is which confidence is place.”
Everyone has put their faith in something…..but those who get saved can be granted a gift of faith, or will grow in faith throughout their journey with the LORD.
Sometimes we aren’t even aware of what we have put our faith in or how strong our faith really is…..
It all boils down to this…..do you have faith in God? Or do you have faith in the world? Faith in the world contain faith in men, in science, in love, in money,…..all of these are vain faiths for they are all faiths, beliefs and trust in what you want…..but faith in God is what you need.
Do you place your faith in religion and traditional beliefs?
This is the most prominent of all faiths, as people have faith in what they believe in….for example, if you believe in Jesus Christ, you in turn have faith in Jesus Christ (just be sure it’s the right Jesus)…..if you believe God doesn’t exist, you have faith that God doesn’t exist.
Many people have faith and put their faith in their religions, their traditions, how many prayers they pray, their saints, their idols, their principals in life, being a good person, their works, and even their own thoughts……they have faith in what they want, but not in what they need…..
There are varying types of this faith as I will explain below:
Do you have faith in prayers?
So many people put faith in their prayers and yet there is no meaning behind the majority of them. Let me explain…… you have many religions today that teach people how they should pray, what they should pray, and how many times they should pray……and people actually put belief in these prayers, but it all comes down to who they (you) are praying too.
Do you pray to God or to saints? There is a difference, God is the creator of the saints…..and only Jesus is the high priest and intercessor of our prayers to God. So why pray to the saints? They are dead and gone and cannot do anything for you.
Do you pray to a statue? What good is your prayer then? A statue has no ears to hear your cry. Do you pray to the spirit of the idol? Why? What good can that spirit do when the spirit itself was once a fallen angel or demon? What and who created them? Why not pray to the GOD who created the wood, glass, marble, gold that made the idol?
Do you count your prayers? Why and for what purpose? To claim you did your due diligence, what good is that because there is then no meaning in your prayer at all but mumbling of words?
Do you repeat your prayers? Again what good is this, you are just being repetitive, do you think God will hear you if you keep repeating the same thing over and over again? What meaning is behind it from you? Are you repeating a prayer after someone else? This brings about no comfort or peace, for you do not mean what you say, you are just copying someone else…..
“And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the street, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you they have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking.” Matthew 6:5-7
Do you pray a set amount of times? Why? Do you think God only listens at those times? Do you think praying a set amount of times will purge you of your sins?
You can see how having faith in prayers can be very dangerous unless you know who you are praying to, why you are praying, and praying with your heart.
Prayer has no set way, no set time; sometimes no words….in fact just talking with the Lord can be the same as praying. You have prayers of worship and prayers of need. Talking with the Lord can also do both.
“Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.” Psalm 38:9
There are people who claim they do pray with their heart, but again, who are they praying to? It matters….. for if you are crying and praying your heart out hoping and looking for an answer, Satan can send demons to answer your prayers, but those prayers being answered will only be answered the way you want and the way Satan wants and eventually it will lead you down the wrong path…. However, if you pray to God….He answers prayers not always the way we want nor expect and sometimes it’s years later…. if you are praying but have no roots in God, (in other words, no faith (belief) in Jesus Christ), what makes you think He will answer your prayers continuously?
You see, God can answer a non-believer or unsaved persons prayer to get them to open their eyes to His existence, how else do we get saved? However, there are many people who pray during a crisis and even have God answer their prayers in His mercy to open their eyes, only to have them continuously blaspheme His name, mock Him and say He doesn’t exist.
(I do not know how many times God may try to open people’s eyes, that is something only God knows. But you can’t expect Him to always answer or gift you with something, if you are continuing to deny Him.)
My question to you is…. Who are you praying to? That is what you faith is in, and if you find that your faith is not in Jesus Christ, then you have a vain faith.
Do you place your faith in hearing and seeing?
People today are all about believing in only what they can see and only what they hear…..What do I mean? Well, you have people who are told that they should believe a certain way or live a certain way or follow certain rules…..and without question they have faith in what they hear to be true and therefore do what they are told…..
They believe it when they hear things they want to hear… for example…. Live the way you want, you won’t go to Hell….They place their belief, trust, and faith in what they hear because they want it to be true.
Many saved and unsaved believers fall into the category of seeing is believing…..for saved people, I have seen many who have faith and belief in Christ, but not the gifts of the Holy Spirit and have to see said gifts to believe, and sometimes that is still not enough to make them believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. For the Unsaved, they always want to see signs that Jesus died and rose again…. And they put faith and believe in only what they can see, hear, and feel. (i.e. many want to see the demons in order to believe in them…..I’ve got news for you…..you don’t ever want to see a real demon….but you will one day….if you don’t get saved……)
Question to you is, what do you believe in that you have to see with your eyes and hear with your ears? So much is happening today…..that people are falling under this faith in only seeing and hearing that are getting lost to the world…..wake up before it’s too late……
Do you place your faith in Man?
There are people who put all their trust and faith in men (pastors, preachers, priests, pope’s, doctors, scientist, etc…..Why? What good is another person? Are they better than you? Do they not sin? Do they have God’s ear? (If you are saved you have God’s ear thru Christ) How do you know? God created us and we are the same in God’s eyes, not one of us is beyond reproach at times, we all sin, and none of us are righteous unless we take on Jesus Christ righteousness…..
If you are looking to Man to heal you, you will always find disappointment, as man can only heal the body, they cannot heal the spirit or soul…..God wants to heal you spiritually and that is more important than healing you just physically.
Man can do surgery and fix a heart to make it work better, or for longer, but they cannot heal the heart, they cannot heal the spirit, they cannot heal the soul, and sometimes more often than not today….they can’t even heal the body…..For God has a purpose for you, and no matter what Man does, if it does not go along with what God wants for you, it will not work.
This is why it is so important to be ready to go at any moment…..to be saved so you know where you are going will bring peace to your pain……
Do you put your faith in your good works/deeds?
There are other people, who have faith in their salvation, but it is their own salvation and not the salvation of Christ and you must know the difference.
People can have faith in their works for their salvation…. This is a vain faith as their works cannot and will not save them. Why place faith in something you can do? If we (you) could save yourself by doing good deeds why do we need Jesus at all?
Those who believe in their works have placed their sins on themselves, and don’t trust in the blood of Jesus Christ……how then, can you be truly saved? You are the one paying for your own sins and that negates what Jesus did on the cross……how then can you claim to be a believer? For your faith is not placed in the work of Jesus, but in your own works/deeds.
It’s what you have your faith in that tells you if you are truly saved or not….
(Especially today, this seems to be the most prominent of deceptive faith…..and it’s a shame, because people think they can pay for their own sins when Jesus already did that for you…..why? Why, do you fall for such a demonic teaching…..it will lead you to Hell…..if you are not careful….. The road to Heaven in narrow, because so very many people try to make salvation so hard…..It really isn’t, just believe.)
Do you place your faith in Knowledge and Understanding?
There are many people today who place faith in knowledge ….Knowledge is well and good but depending on the knowledge you have placed your faith in can determine what you believe…..
You can have knowledge that each person has their own DNA, and you put faith in that we all have DNA and it’s all different…..This is knowledge without understanding and you cannot just stop here and accept this; you must continue to gain knowledge in order to grow in faith, for example-you must understand the knowledge of DNA……. why does everyone have DNA? How is DNA made? Why is everyone different? Who created DNA? How does DNA work? etc…..
You can’t have faith in something if you don’t know where that knowledge will lead…..
This is what is called a vain faith…..you have knowledge but no explanation (understanding) as to why you believe in something…..
Definition of Vain
“Having or showing an excessively high opinion of ones’ appearance, abilities, or worth: Producing no result; useless: marked by futility or ineffectualness: having no real value”
You see, if you continue to gain in knowledge, this then in turn leads to understanding, which leads to wisdom, and that wisdom has to lead you to know the why everyone has their own DNA…..because it was created that way…..why? Because, it was made with a divine mind…..why? Because we were created in the divine minds image…..who is the divine mind? God…..
The Knowledge you have placed your faith in has to lead you down a path to the answer, even if you don’t want to believe in that answer, it doesn’t negate (change) the answer.
Everything leads back to GOD, there is not one thing on this earth that does not lead back to GOD, if you but pay attention to the actual knowledge around you and not just stopping there, but gain the understanding….then the wisdom.
How can anyone have faith in creation, when they can’t answer how, why, and who created it? It is in vain, in other words, this faith has no roots in its belief.
What is your faith in?
All of the above are different types of the faith that saved and unsaved believers put their trust in….but the true faith and your salvation rest in the trust, faith, and belief in Jesus Christ…… Faith, not only in Jesus Christ, but in the power of God…..The Holy Trinity.
Do you place your faith in The Holy Trinity?
To have faith in the Holy Trinity…..you must know the power of God. This faith has varying degrees for each believer….
1st degree – faith that the power of God can grant blessing to His children with or without needing humans….asking God to have it rain or not rain….to have money appear when needed to pay bills, buy groceries, etc.
2nd Degree – this is knowing and understanding the power of God and what He has done all throughout human history, not only worldly history but biblical history. Trusting in The Power of God that was able to put water in a rock to drink…that God can use anyone or no one at all to create miracles….
“And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice; and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.” Numbers 20:11
3rd degree- There are people who are gifted with a gift of faith in the power of God (see explanation of gifts) and they do not ever waver. I have never seen it myself, in fact today there is probably 1 in millions that have this gift…..if any on this earth today even have this gift.
These people can in fact have such faith in God that they make the wind stop, the rain stop, etc., themselves…..For example: Elijah and Paul….
“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall bot be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1
“And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing….” 1 Corinthians 13:2
“and Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verify I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20
Testing of your Faith
The Lord revealed to me the reason He allows testing of our faith, it is not to prove anything to Him, for He knows our faith better than we do, and that is the point…..He allows the testing of our faith to show us and to show Satan that we are more faithful than we, Satan, and the demons are aware.
Job is a fine example of this as it was Satan who went to God, just like he goes to Him for us to place hardships on us to show up GOD, and yet God in His infinite knowledge and wisdom allows the testing to show Satan what a fool he is, and to show us that we are more faithful than we are aware.
“And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not froth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.” Job 1:12
People do not, or sometimes forgets that Satan has his minions always watching us, tempting us, hurting us so that he can go before God to see if he can test us because he wants us to not have faith in the salvation of God. And because Satan is not all knowing and does not know our heart, he has no idea of our faith and how strong it is……But God knows already…..
“Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” James 2:17
If you fall under one of the categories above, you will fail the testing of Satan, because you are not standing on the Rock of Jesus Christ Sacrifice…..
What is your salvation in?
That is the question you must answer yourself. Are you someone who has placed their salvation in your prayers? In your idols? In your own works? Or in the blood of Jesus…
In Conclusion….
In order to know you’re saved, you must believe in ONE thing……The Blood Sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It’s doesn’t matter if you believe in God, it doesn’t matter if you believe in your works or your thoughts, or even knowing about Jesus Christ. YOU MUST believe in your heart that Jesus died for all your sins, for it is the heart where faith comes from…..(you can grow in faith, but you must grow in knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and The LORD….)
Our only intercessor is the LORD Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit…..
You see in order to have real true faith, you must have what you need, and if you refuse what you need, what good is faith to you? There is only one faith that can save you from yourself, and that is the faith in the belief of Jesus Christ. Without that your faith becomes a vain want….
Faith must have roots in order to be real faith.
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for my the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Galations 2:16
“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” Galatians 3:24-25
“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of Men, but in the power of God” 1 Corinthians 2:5
