Understanding The Word

The Lord put it on my Heart to go into what Christianity should mean and how the world has become lost to the true meaning of what being a Christian is all about…..

In these times of the soon to be last days, the world has changed so much in such a short amount of time….People have, and can, change their beliefs and religions in their life, but what we are seeing today is that people are changing these at will, meaning whatever they feel like that day, week, or month, is what they believe in.

How my heart breaks to see people aimlessly claiming to live life to the fullest, and yet they don’t or aren’t even aware they are dying (spiritually) each day….As much as it breaks my heart, I know the Lord hurts more,  for He created us all, and to have His creation turn against Him, for no other reason than just wanting to rebel, is very sad.

When I was younger, if I told someone or heard someone claim to be Christian it was usually assumed that you believe a certain way (I will go into detail below)……the last 20 years or so I have learned that just hearing someone say they are a Christian has made me look deeper into what they actually believe, because I started finding that many people who called themselves Christians were not of the same belief as I was and it honestly started to surprise me.  There are so many different types of Christians that you have to confirm what kind of Christian they are.

Why must we confirm what kind of Christian they are?  Because there are so many that are under false teachings, doctrines, demonically possessed, and unsaved.  It is important to know who we are talking to in order to rebuke, teach/minister to, or leave their presence…..

It is so very important as servants of the Lord to know how to talk to fellow Christians, and those that make the claim of being Christians, for us to know when they are not following Scripture, know when they are twisting the meaning (or taking verses out of context) of the Word of God.  So many people are becoming lost because we have not taken the responsibility to know our Savior and what He said and meant…..It is why many people are falling into false religions and teachings, including some saved believers.

While we are not to argue the bible, we can at times, debate if the need arises, however, once we realize that we have said all we need to say and they still don’t want to hear and see the truth, we are to wipe the dust off of our feet and go our own way, and let the Lord do the rest…..

The definition of Christianity

“the religion based on the person and teaching of Jesus of Nazareth, or its beliefs and practices.”

As I was doing some research, I read this on Wikipedia “while there are diverse interpretations of Christianity which sometimes conflict, they are united in believing that Jesus has a unique significance.”

Do you see the problem here? Don’t worry if you don’t, for I am going to explain…..

There shouldn’t be any diverse interpretations, Christianity should mean one thing and one thing only…..the belief in Jesus Christ, His Teachings and His Blood Sacrifice for the Sins of the world.  There should not be any conflict when you claim to be a Christian to another Christian.  We should all be the same, believe the same, preach the same, witness the same…..And most importantly Jesus should not just have a unique significance…..what does this mean?  Today it takes on a different meaning to different groups of so-called Christians.  The Only Significance Jesus should have is that He is God in the flesh……He came to save the Lost by sacrificing His Life……He came to Die……..He will come again…..He is the only King forever, the beginning and the end.

(There are so very many people who call themselves Christians and yet don’t even know the true meaning of it, (even if you just base it on the definition above) and  I want to go over these as this is where major problems are occurring in Christianity today…..)

What does it mean to be a Christian?

• A Christian is one who believes in the worship of One God

“But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” 1 Corinthians 8:6

• A Christian is one who believes in the Holy Trinity

“For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:7

• A Christian is one who walks by faith

“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” 2 Corinthians 5:7

• A Christian is one whose life is changed after salvation

“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:25-26

• A Christian is one who believes in life after death thru Jesus Christ

“Verily, Verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24

• A Christian is one who has received and is sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

• A Christian believes in Hell

“And I say unto thee, That thou are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18

• A Christian is one who teaches, witnesses, and talks about the Word of God

“For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’s sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine our of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:5-6

• A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

• A Christian is one who believes Jesus is the only intercessor to God and the only way to heaven

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy 2:5

• A Christian believes in the grace of God, and once saved will never be lost again

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

• A Christian is one who believes in the Virgin Birth, that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, belief in all His teachings, His Blood sacrifice and death for all sins, His Resurrection, His Ascension, Him being our only way to heaven, our eternal Savior and King forever and forever….

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:6

If you do not believe in these teachings of the Lord Jesus, how can you then call yourself a true Christian? For you must believe in all the teachings of Christ to truly claim you are a Christian, you can’t pick and choose like so many people today.  Just because you don’t understand, or like what is being said, doesn’t change the fact that it was said…..it is why it is imperative to talk with the Holy Spirit and read/study the bible yourself and stop following Man’s doctrines.

There are way too many people today who will continue, until the Lord returns to reign, to claim they are Christians……even some will take the mark of the beast during the 7 year tribulation…..it is why The Lord said…..

“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” John 16:2

They will be Christians for Satan, not for God, just like today….(Anti-Christians)

Continuing on….

Did you know that there are more than 200 different Christian Denominations today?  I knew there was a lot but when I saw 200, I was flabbergasted….You have to give it to Satan and his demons, they have been at work for a long time…..and they are succeeding more and more every day to confuse people and to turn people away from Jesus.

I wanted to go over the trends in Christianity that are becoming a major problem and more prominent each day….The study on different religions, traditions, and all types of Worldly Christianity is so extensive, it would be impossible for me to put everything here…..I may go into certain problematic religions at a later date…..

Right now I will just give a general synopsis of the types of Christians in the world today.

1- The Progressive Christian

This is becoming the most prominent Christian today…..this is the type of Christianity that will eventually be the ones who will be killing God’s people during the tribulation, as this is one that is leading to the one world religion…..CHRISLAM. (All religions will eventually lead to this)

This is a movement within the Christian community and is not Christian at all, for they are removing all of Jesus’ teachings from the bible, even creating new versions of the bible, very quickly…..These so-called Christians will say they believe in Christ Jesus but they actually believe in Panentheism….

“is the belief that the divine intersects every part of the universe and also extends beyond space and time. The universal spirit is present everywhere, which at the same time transcends all things created.  All is God….”

It includes mysticism and Hindu teachings, it is also a type of universalism…..

“ the view that all human beings will ultimately be saved and restored to a right relationship with God. The sentiment if that every individual of the human race shall become holy and happy.”

Other religions and so-called Christians that will fall into the Progressive Christian movement are:

Age of Enlightenment; Gnosticism,; Hermetism;  Rosicrucianism;  Kabbalah, Wicca, Eastern Stars, Freemasons, Illuminati, Satanism, New Age……

They claim to believe differently, but if you but do the research, they all in fact have a root in the same beliefs and all of them fall under Satan (Luciferianism)

“is the belief that usually reveres Lucifer not as a devil, but as a destroyer, a guardian, a liberator, light bringer or guiding spirit to darkness, and even the true god as opposed to Christ.”

You might see that the definitions are different so how can they all believe the same?   Look deeper into their beliefs, all of these so called religions/Christians, do not believe in Hell (or if they do, it is a corrective and remedial place, and does not last forever…..), they do not believe in Jesus Christ being God and Savior of Sin, because none of them believe in SIN…..They all believe in the same god, and that god is the god of this world, which is Satan…..

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

This movement today is extremely dangerous and if you are around anyone who proclaims themselves a progressive Christian, you need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you witness to them and then wipe your feet and let them be.  (To them the Saved Christians are the enemy, for we are a hindrance to the progression of their religion)

You can learn all through- out history of the majority of religions, a man always seemed to get a revelation by God to start a new religion or tradition and it always deviated from God’s Word, these men have led many to hell and are still doing so for people would rather trust in Man than in what God said…..

Be very aware and on your guard around these people, because they are very deceptive people because they are not of God…..They like to claim that the bible changes with the times at hand…..

God is Unchanging, so is His word unchanging, and it does not change at the will of people.

2 – The religious Christian

You may ask, ‘what is the difference is a religious Christian and a Saved Christian?’

These are people who are so lost in their religions and traditions, that they don’t even read, or follow the bible.  They usually trust in what they are told (hear), how it makes them feel, or what they want to see…..

People who listen to men instead of God…..they trust in men who claim they have revelations from God….depending on what religion you are in will determine what you believe…..If you don’t believe in the Word of Jesus Christ….then you usually fall into this category…..

There actually can be Saved Christians that fall into false doctrines, just because they are new to Christ and don’t know any better, or because they are looking for an answer and Satan is leading them astray, it doesn’t mean they will lose their salvation, but they will lose their rewards for not following Christ and following man/Satan instead…..(I suggest reading my Understanding of faith blog for more detail.)

All religions can in fact fall under false doctrine/teachings, because there are false prophets in every religion.  But the most obvious (prominent) one is:

Catholicism – while there are saved people in this religion, Catholics do not follow the word of Jesus Christ….While on the surface you may think they believe all the right things you must look deeper, let’s go further……

• They believe in the interpretation of the bible by the pope and his bishops….
• They believe that the pope and bishops have varying degrees of spiritual authority, and are regarded as infallible when speaking on matters of faith and morals.
• They believe in Purgatory and merits
• They believe in a set amount of time spent in prayer
• They believe you can lose your salvation thru mortal sin
• They believe in penance
• They believe in praying to the saints and the mother Mary to intercede for them
• They believe all will be saved as long as they are a good person
• They believe all those against the church will go to Hell for resisting their teachings.
• They believe in confession of sins to a priest to receive absolution.

As you can plainly see today in the news, they are already being divided from each other, because some of them are going towards progressive Christianity while others are starting to leave the church because they were taught all their life certain things that now the Pope is changing.

True Christianity never changes…..

I wanted to mention this religion, because it is honestly the most prominent of the world and the most deceiving…..and I will do a blog in more detail about this at a later time because it plays a very important role in the the new world religion….

It is important to look at your beliefs and religions to see if they actually follow Jesus Christ or a Man….If you do not want to see the truth……well, that is on you.

Other religions that fall under this category that are prominent are:

Jehovah Witness; Mormonism; Lutherans; Methodist; Some Penecostal; Some Baptist;  Seventh Day Advent; Progressive Christianity; Islam; Buddhism, Etc…..

All of these religions/ traditions/ beliefs are overflowing in the world and growing expedientially while the true Christians are being run out of churches, out of our families, and run underground.  We are told we can’t witness, we can’t give testimonies, we can’t help others who are looking for Jesus Christ…., we can’t teach Sin and Hell…..

3- The saved Christian

You will notice that I am always, in my blogs, making a point to say saved and unsaved believers, because to me when you talk with anyone today, especially those who profess they are Christians, we must go the extra mile and ask them are you a saved Christian or not? (It has come to a point that when I am asked my beliefs, I reply I am a saved Christian in Jesus Christ.) If the person is saved, they will know immediately why you ask them that question, they will not get offended because they see what you see and believe what you believe; Which is that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, the only Savior for mankind, He was not a prophet, He was not just a man, He was God incarnate and came to die for the sins of the World. 

Those of us that are saved do have a responsibility when we are talking with anyone, to witness, we don’t always do this, sometimes because of work issues, or we are tired, we have many excuses, but the time now is so very important, that we must realize who we are talking to and if someone claims to be Christian and don’t believe in Christ Jesus, we must start correcting them or rebuking them, because they, (you can be very sure), are promoting and witnessing for their beliefs to everyone, no matter where they are or who they are with, because they can…..because they are not of God. (Even though some of them may really be saved, they are promoting false doctrine thru their religious beliefs, and this can and will lead others to Hell if they are not careful and do their own research.)

We all make choices in this life, and there are times when it’s easier to keep our mouths shut than to have a confrontation, even though we want to educate people, they will take it to argument, and confrontational, because they are under the demonic influence and want to shut you up, and stop others from knowing Jesus Christ.

Which one will you proclaim?

This was written to wake up people who may be lost, or uniformed people (saved and unsaved). Today, there is no excuse not to do your own research and find out what is going on in the world.  Ask questions, grow in your knowledge.  But the best and easiest thing to do is pray to God and ask Him to show you the way.  Again you must get into the bible yourself, for if things are being told to you that goes against the bible, then you need to question who you are listening to.

In Conclusion

When we say we are Christians, there should be no question of what our beliefs are.  WE should not have to explain what we believe, just like being saved, we should all preach, teach, believe, and witness, the same thing.

But…..Because Satan and his demons are working hard and man is willfully blind, we have now come to a time and place, that confusion is everywhere, and only if you are rooted in Christ can you see the differences and know how to counter the demons doctrines and teachings…..

I don’t know why people choose to stay ignorant, when we have the world at our fingertips on the internet and can learn so very much.  Why people choose not to know what is going on in the world and just take other people’s word for it.

It’s like the old saying goes, ‘if they jump off the cliff, will you jump off too?”  Sometime the person you listen to, will lead you to the cliff and tell you to jump, but they will just stand by to see how many they can get to jump.  This is evil……but that is what Satan wants, he wants to lead people straight to hell and he is laughing at anyone he can get to jump willingly.

Don’t let Satan get the last laugh, come to Christ today before it is to late………Be the light in the darkness….become (or show yourself to be) a TRUE CHRISTIAN.
