Understanding The Word

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” Matthew 25:41

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; “  2 peter 2:4

As time went by, humans (Adam and Eve) sinned, the wages of sin was death…. Not just a physical death, but an eternal torment of the soul and spirit.  You see, sin makes us unrighteous and stained with the evil of said sin….we can no longer be in God’s presence because of this.  Hell was not intended for us at the start.  Humans have made the choice to separate themselves from God, and in doing so, in to Hell they will go.

Before I go on I must make this extremely clear……there is NO purgatory for you to purge your sins.  You are either going to Heaven or going to Hell, there is not an in between and there are no verses in the Bible claiming otherwise….this is a part of the works doctrine and is a false teaching.

Let’s continue…….What Is Hell?

There are people all the time saying, “this is Hell on earth…” people who say this have no idea what Hell is really like…. are people tormented on earth? Absolutely, most of them are God fearing people, But everyone has some type of torment.  This is only a portion of what Hell is really like.  Imagine that if you are going through something and think to yourself, ‘this must be what Hell is like,’ you need to take that thought further….as what you are going through will eventually pass…..Hell does not.

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, Father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.”  Luke 16:23-28

If you really PAY Attention to these verses they are some of the most important verses in explaining the kind of torment you will find there…..

Let’s go a step further and dissect these verses, many people read them but don’t really dwell on the meaning behind them….in a way sometimes you need to read between the lines…..

• The rich man could see Lazarus –  So he remembered Lazarus from when he was alive and he could now see Lazarus in Heaven (as he saw Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom) from Hell.
• He was burning in fiery torment and asked for water – no water was given, not only was no water given but he could feel the pain of thirst.
• He was told to remember the good things in his life –  meaning that he knew and remembered everything that happened to him and earth, not just to him but what he did to others, and how it affected them.
• There is a gulf between Heaven and Hell – no one can go between, not only that but only the rich man in Hell could see Heaven and Lazarus there, but Lazarus could not see him.
• He then asked if he could go to his brothers on earth to warn them of this place (Hell)- So he remembered his brothers after death, which means he knew them and what they were like before he died….

In Hell, there is no rest….hence the verse, “But the Wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, unto the wicked.” Isaiah 57:20-21

Let’s go on……

As stated above Hell was made for Satan, the fallen angels, and the demons, then humans……but what Hell is, is a separation from God, His Greatness, and His Holiness;  there is no goodness in Hell, no light but by fire, no peace, no love, no rest, no sleep…..

“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.” Isaiah 5:14

Imagine how great the torment will be; to be burning in a flame of fire and that you will be able to look up and see heaven:  You see, in Hell, you will see heaven, you will see your loved ones walking, singing, laughing, having joy, and worshiping God, but they will not even remember you. You will also be covered and surrounded by worms, you will hear screams and see others that are being tormented like you but there will be no communication between you…..Not only will you experience all this, you will also be constantly reminded of everything you ever did, and every opportunity that you had to accept Jesus Christ as your savior. 

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”  Psalms9:17

“There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.” Luke 13:28

 “And shall cast them into a furnace of Fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth” Matthew 13:42

“Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:48

“Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy voids: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.’’ Isaiah 14:11

I am of the belief that you will get an eternal physical body…..you see we saved believers will get a glorified body….why would those going to Hell not get a type of eternal physical body also, just not glorified, for how can worms cover a spirit and soul?  Those in Hell will experience physical pain of their torment in a fleshly body that does not DIE, for what we (believers) are blessed with in heaven, is a curse for those in Hell.

I also personally believe that the demons and fallen angels will be the tormentors, as they will take their anger out on you just like now, (although as a human we have a choice to listen to them), but 10 times worse…..  And yet people claim they would rather go there than heaven? Some people are even under a delusion that Hell is actually going to be a party? 

I have heard people say they would rather go to Hell and sin for eternity than go to heaven, I never could grasp that stance, because I never understood where they get the concept that they will continue to sin in Hell (of course to them it isn’t sin), honestly where did this thought come from?  This is actually, spiritually, of Satan, as he wants you in Hell with him. You need to realize that the pleasure in your sins on this earth will be your torment in Hell.

“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue amoung our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.” James 3:6

There is an age old saying that goes:  If I’m wrong and there is no Heaven or Hell, I am none the worse, because I won’t exist, so it won’t matter what I believe,  but If I’m right and there is a Heaven and a Hell, what will you do?  If you choose Hell, you then have no right to then complain that God is cruel, mean, or unmerciful…. because you chose it.

God has handed every one of us the key to heaven, if we but accept it.  That key is the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ….to believe in Him you will have a place in Heaven for all eternity.  The key is right in front of you…..and yet people look at the key and walk on pass…..

God is just and fair, He is most merciful…..You may think or claim that a loving God would not send you to Hell….but why wouldn’t He send you where you choose to go. (He does not want to force you to do anything you don’t want to do. If He did, then all of this would be moot, as He would make you believe in Him) Is it a fair God to accept you into Heaven when you mocked or never believed Him….would that be fair to those who accepted with faith that every word of the Bible was true? 

People all the time claim they are a good person……. they don’t deserve Hell……it’s not fair…….God’s mean and cruel……there is no sin……God made me this way……I didn’t know or understand……Hell doesn’t exist……They want to blame God for sending them to Hell, yet He is only giving them what they wanted…..    

“The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? “ Isaiah 33:14

Will you pass by the Savior and stand before God claiming these things, or will you stop, pray, and ask for help from Him. Will you claim you are a good person and don’t deserve Hell?  How do you prove that you are a good person…..by words? by deeds? by thought?  Humans can only base goodness on these things, but God judges the heart…..and if you don’t even believe in God’s goodness, how can you believe in your own? For without God, there is no goodness in anything…..                    

I know there will be people who ignore this warning… who will get offended by this knowledge, I am not ignorant or even naïve….I know there are far more people who are going to Hell than to Heaven for the simple reason being that they want to….because they have anger in their hearts as they make excuses for the things they do here on earth….. and because of their anger, they lash out at God, and at believers…….but I ask in all love towards you (because all I can do is warn you)…. don’t be one, hold this information fast, think on it, ponder on it, most of all ASK GOD to show you the way….. If you are reading this He is already trying to pull you towards him…..but it is still your choice…..

“But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear him, which after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, fear him.” Luke 12:5

Don’t be one among many in Hell that is looking up and seeing heaven, seeing your loved ones who will never remember you existed;  one who will be crying and gnashing your teeth from the torment, and the anger that fills your heart with bitterness.

You have but a short time left now, tomorrow is not promised……get Saved by the Grace of God before it’s too late…..Don’t wait, please don’t wait……Take a look around you at the world, take a hard look at yourself…..

“The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.” Proverbs 15:24
