There is a gift that you can help give to others….We do not have to wrap it up all nice and pretty….sometimes it can be hard to give this gift to people….because we know it’s not always wanted….but in our own pleasure of this gift….we want to share it…..
Many will receive this gift with gladness….hold it close and cherish it…everyday they will spend time with it, love it, and keep it forever….they go around proudly and lovingly sharing their gift with as many as they can….because they want others to experience their joy and their love that they have for this gift. They are thankful that someone thought of them in order to share this gift with them…..for it has changed the life.
Many will receive this gift because they want it so badly….and they will love it, and cherish it….but then, after a while they will grow tired of it…for it has gotten old…it was the ‘in thing’ at the time, but now not so much, and so they put it aside only to pull it out at times when they want it or remember it….maybe to help comfort them in a time of trouble….only to put it away, to pull it out again at another time, when they want it or think about it.
So very many people will look at this gift with disappointment….they don’t really want it and they take it reluctantly, thinking to themselves….’I wish I had gotten what I wanted….I don’t really want this, but I’ll take it to save face…to not cause a problem with everyone around me right now.’ And when they get home they put it away some place that is forgotten…planning on throwing it out when they get the chance. They never really think of this gift unless someone brings it up….but they just shake their head and think…’I need to go ahead and get rid of that gift’….so they go home and find it….and instead of thinking maybe….just maybe they can use this gift….to bring them some peace or some comfort….they think instead….’No, I don’t want to live with this gift….it’s too much…it’s not my thing….it’s not that fun’….and so they take it over to the trash and dump the gift in…..thinking….that maybe some other day….they’ll have the chance to get the gift again…..but only when they want it.
The majority of people when they see this gift….their face screws up with scorn and a look of disbelief and anger show on their face….They don’t want this gift at all….they in fact hate it….they want it out of their vicinity and out of their eyesight….because to them this gift means giving up other gifts….other things in their life that they don’t want to…..This gift means to them a life they don’t want any part of…they will not touch it….they will let everyone know….they hate this gift. And anyone who tries to give them this gift, they will curse at…or they will hurt…..just because they don’t want this specific gift. In their pride….they don’t need this gift and they will never need it.
Sometimes these people find the gift again many years later…..sometimes in their older age….the gift makes more sense…and they have learned that they needed it all along…..and they appreciate it so much more than they ever could have known, and sometimes they will refuse this gift time and time again until their time is gone….and the gift cannot be given or accepted anymore.
The One that is giving this gift….they grant it to anyone who wants it….their hands holding it to everyone who passes by…..waiting urgently and lovingly for someone to stop and ask…..holding this gift in their hands…..hoping and trying to get people to notice….to see them….
Some people see others receive this gift and wonder if they can get in line….others are skeptical and believe that ‘nothing is for free’, so they ignore it for a while to see if people really have to pay for this gift……And yet still others see the line….and look the other way, they walk on past…not even interested in knowing what free gift is being given….because….they want something else and what they want is more important.
Yet….The One who is giving this gifts sees all…..knows all….and they mourn that people walk on by without question….without curiosity…..without need of this gift…..This One, thinks about ways to get the attention of the people passing by….who they can put in their life to help give this gift to them….teach them about this gift…..before it is to late…..for them not to ever be able to receive this gift…..
The One giving this gift can’t wait to tell all, with His eyes sparkling with happiness,…..”Oh….this gift is for you…. you do not have to pay for it, you do not have to work for it…..it is My free gift to you because I love you……the only thing you have to do is accept it and believe in it…..it is the grace of your salvation and eternal life with Me, the only thing I ask of you….is to share this gift with others…..bring them to me….so that I may offer them the same gift…..”
Some people will gladly take it….others think it isn’t free after all…for they don’t want to believe…they just want the gift….
You cannot have the gift without belief….for the gift would have no meaning…….
We all know what this gift is….those who believe and those who don’t…..
The Gift is JESUS CHRIST…..
I wrote this to make a point. When we mention Jesus Christ most people will turn away before you can even finish your sentence…..today, more and more people are turning away…..and it is supposed to happen. The Lord told us all these things would happen in the time of the end.
The point is; that there are people who want the reward (Heaven) without accepting the gift (Salvation), without wanting to accept who grants it…. If the gift is not wanted….why would you get the reward? If you feel the gift is not needed…..why do you want the reward?
“But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.” Romans 5:15
If we are to share this gift with others, should we regulate or emphasize Jesus to certain holidays? To certain seasons? To certain days?
Christ has become, for many, an afterthought, and THAT is a shame….we can all get caught up in life, but we should always remember that Christ is right there with us in all things and do our best to put Him first….for when we put Jesus first, our life takes on a whole different perspective in even the littlest things in our lives.
While gift giving is to show our love for others…..the most important gift you can ever give at any given time…..is the gift of Jesus Christ. Don’t wait for the holidays…..give this gift whenever you can, because there is coming a day when it will be too late for you to help other receive this precious gift…..
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8
How precious is Jesus’ love for us….how wonderful the merciful grace He granted us…..to be born…only to die for us all.
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2
“Therefore as by the offence of one judgement came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” Romans 5:18
Jesus Christ is the greatest gift you can ever give and the greatest gift you will ever receive……So, why not? What can it hurt to accept and believe in this gift? It is the gift of life…..why would you not take it? Why would you not share it?
“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” 2 Corinthians 9:15
Grab it quickly….hold it tightly…..cherish it always……for it is the more precious gift you will ever know.
May we all remember that Jesus should be the only thing we should celebrate at all times….not just for a day….a week, or a season….but everyday….celebrate His life….His death…..His resurrection….His Saving Grace….
……..and when we celebrate Him….others will see…..and maybe even ask….how they may receive the same gift as we…..
May the lost be found…..and the blind to see…..may they accept, and believe.

There is a gift, which is divine
It is a gift, you cannot buy.
This gift does not rust, or grow old
It brings us great comfort as we grow.
The joy it gives is ours to gain
The peace it brings, is hard to explain.
This gift is ours, if we believe
It’s our salvation, to receive.
Our Lord and King, Jesus Christ
Born to be a sacrifice.
Yet, our Lord did not die.
He rose again and is alive!
He grants us all, mercy in grace
If we but, accept and have faith
Life eternal, in Heaven above
In the presence, of His Great Love
Our God and King forever more
Praise His name, praise the Lord!
Thank Him always for the gift He gave
Now you know, you are saved!
