The Lord never fails to amaze me…. When I am going thru something and feel despondent and not worthy of Him…..He shows Himself to me sometimes in the most unexpected places and at the most unexpected time, and it clicks in my spirit and heart…..’Ah…..I understand now, I see, you showed me that you were there and I refused to see you……’
He opens our eyes sometimes in ways we least expect and it always will lead us to growth or understanding of how He works in our lives, even if we don’t quite like how it comes about.
I can’t help but think about the verse…….
“For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” Ecclesiastes 1:18
When we increase our knowledge of God and His word, our sorrow becomes great, for we know and understand that this world is so lost, it is sorrowful to watch the lost running into Hell…..and we feel so helpless towards strangers and even some family because we know they do not see and know what we know because they don’t want to…..
Sometimes the sorrow is so great we feel it is pointless to witness, to give testimonies, to try to tell people about Christ, people don’t want God, they don’t want to be saved…..and we become depressed and oppressed with seeing the evil that is running this world and how people are clamoring towards it with eyes wide open yet blinded.
“Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.” Psalms 38:9
In this the Lord must become our strength, but we must let Him renew our minds, and hearts, and sometimes He does it in a way we don’t understand until way after the fact. He shows us we are not alone in our sorrow, that we are not alone in anything…….
“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah” Psalms 62:8
He Is With Us
How often we feel alone, even in a room full of people, sometimes we feel so out place, even in our own home. (This happens to everyone it doesn’t matter if you are saved or not, we all feel alone at times.)
For those of us that are saved, sometimes we feel like God doesn’t hear us….that He doesn’t hear our hearts breaking…..we sometimes even go as far as to think we are insignificant and God has other more important things to do or to think about than us and our problems……
For those that are not saved, they are searching for something to fill that lonely void…..they do things to cover up that feeling of loneliness….usually it is nothing good for them. (While we Christians sometimes do this too, we eventually fall back on the Lord)
How sad it is that we all forget that we are not alone, we are never alone. Jesus is always there…..He is always waiting for you patiently to realize that He is there, for those that are saved He indwells us thru the Holy Spirit, for those that are lost, He is knocking, trying to get your attention.
(Jesus is always around people that are unsaved knocking on the doors to their hearts just as he did to us….He is trying to reach them, sometimes using His children, and sometimes He uses other sinners, and yet other times the Holy spirit will overcome them without any help from us.)
Sometimes as a saved person we can get caught up in this worldly place, sin is always around us and sometimes we fall into temptation because it’s easy, it’s there…..we close our minds to the voice of the Holy Spirit, because we are living in the now and forget for while where our focus should be. (We have all done this at times thru out our lives)
When we get caught up in the world, we become a little lost to the things in the world; Jesus does not want any to be lost….being His children, He will always come and get you and bring you back to Him, to remind us that we are His and not the worlds………but He also gives us a choice, a choice to accept or deny His voice (for the lost it is salvation to believe or not)…..and it really is a very easy choice; that is why there will be no excuses when we stand before him.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelations 3:20
The Lord, wants us, His children, to know how much He cares about us, how much He does love us…..and if we but look He shows us each and every day that He is right there beside us, going thru what we go thru, crying when we cry, mourning when we mourn, and laughing when we laugh. He finds joy in us even when we feel like we have failed Him.
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, no life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, not things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
I need to make it clear though, that you are only a child of God when you have accepted Jesus as your Savior……those that are unsaved and non- believers in Christ are not children of God because they deny His Sacrifice. This does not mean He is not calling you…..to come to His awaiting arms.
He gives us comfort when we are in pain….it’s like the poem of ‘footprints in the sand’…..only one set was to be seen at troubled times, but it was because that was when Jesus was carrying us in His arms.

Even though we can’t feel His arms hugging us physically, sometimes we can feel the calmness…..a peace that comes and settles us when we call on Him.
“Be careful of nothing but in ever thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Looking around at this world, He is trying so hard thru so many signs and His saved children, to reach all that are lost. He places people in the path of those that are yearning for something more, so that we may witness and tell them the love (and judgement) of Christ…..as there is always a way to reach Him in everyone’s life if they but pay attention, if they are but willing.
Some stay stubborn for way to long, and sometimes, even we fall back on that stubbornness even after coming to Christ, because sometimes the pain of this world seems to be too much, the sorrow, the evil, but we must remember that no matter what happens, no matter what comes, we are not by ourselves in anything, even if we are alone and the only one in the room……Jesus is always there……
How thankful I am that even when I fall, He is always right there holding His hand out ready to accept me back into His arms, to hold me, and bring me comfort.
……and how sad it is that there are people who refuse that hand, and that comfort….and choose to stay alone in their misery…..and how misery loves company……
Jesus takes that misery….give it over to Him…..let Him take your burdens….your sorrow…. your pain….do not feel like you can carry it all by yourself.
What If…….
We must as messengers of Christ continue soldiering on, we must fight for them, even if they don’t want to fight for themselves…..we were once like them and we would not want Jesus or His people to give up on us, so we must not give up on them, no matter what obstacle is put in our way, because we love them, even if we don’t like them, we love them and if all we can do is pray for their lost souls, then that is what we can do…..
Not all are called to be teachers, or preachers, not all are called to pray for the lost, everyone’s call is different, but we are all called to be messengers in order to spread the Gospel, no matter where we are, that is our duty, but it is a duty of love for Christ and love for fellow humans, and this is not an easy task, not because we don’t love the Lord, but because we are human and have human emotions and tendencies because more often than not we think, what if…..what if this turns ugly, or too confrontational, or even too dangerous……I myself have been in situations where I had to weigh the consequence, weigh should I or shouldn’t I tell the Gospel…..
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18
And yet……what if…..we had spoken up and that person or someone who overheard got saved, or you planted a seed, yes, they may get mad, yes we may be insulted, and we may even be physically in danger, it hurts to have to think of things before we tell others about Jesus, but what if…..if we just reach one person……
Jesus is Coming
We will soon meet our savior in the coming days, for the time is nigh at hand…..and I for one know that yes, I will feel ashamed to stand in His glory, but I will also be in line waiting for Him to come up to me and welcome me into His arms and say “Welcome home my child, I love you, and today you will be with me forever…..now wipe your tears, and be of good cheer, you are home.”
Today, I ask that if you have not received Jesus as your savior, please do so…..He is so loving, so kind, and merciful, and He understands you far better than anyone else including yourself…..He understands the way you are, why you had a hard life, why people hurt you…..He knows it all and He is waiting, just waiting patiently but urgently for you to turn and say….”I can’t do this anymore, I need someone to save me, someone to help me.” He is right there…..just ask him……and He will show you the way…..
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, peril, or sword?” Romans 8:35
For all who witness for the Lord….continue on, do not be discouraged with the evil that is around you, the hurt that even saved brothers and sisters may throw your way because they are a little lost to false doctrines………
Remember Noah, remember Moses, remember Job, remember David, remember Elijah, remember Daniel, remember Jeremiah, remember Jonah, remember Peter, remember Stephen, remember Paul, remember John, …… remember Jesus Christ on the cross……and know that you are not alone on your journey, you have the Lord by your side, and you have fellow believers who will be of some encouragement to you. We are not so alone after all, are we?
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
Come to Him, for He will sup with you…..
You Are Not Alone
I write this for the saved to be encouraged and find strength in the Lord to continue on your path…
I write this for the unsaved to start on their journey to knowing who Christ is….
I write this for everyone who has ever thought or felt that they are alone in the world and no one understands……God does……talk to Him……He is your friend…..and He will bring you comfort even if it’s only for a little while……
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. “ Ephesians 3:14-19
“Grace be with you, mercy and peace, from God the father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.” 2 John 1:3
